A Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, Dr. Carlo Carandang recently served as an Assistant Professor with the Department of Psychiatry at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. His responsibilities included institutional committee work, teaching medical students and psychiatry residents, grant writing, and oral presentations. Prior to Dalhousie University, Dr. Carlo Carandang functioned as a Clinical Assistant Professor with the University of Vermont College of Medicine.
Dr. Carlo Carandang maintains affiliations with a variety of professional organizations, including Doctors Nova Scotia and the American Psychiatric Association. In addition, he works as an ad hoc reviewer for PLOS Magazine and previously served as an assistant editor with the Journal of the Canadian Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. The psychiatrist holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Medical Branch School of Medicine.
In his spare time, Dr. Carlo Carandang takes part in various activities, including playing the saxophone and writing.
